Lucky Me! and Making More...

Well, I was diggin' out the purple for this week's clue and found a great stack of already cut 2" strips leftover from last year's mystery, Orca Bay!  I had been all ready to use purple in that, but changed my mind after all and used blue instead!  So that set me up with a perfect head start for this week!

This is what I absolutely love about Bonnie's scrap user system!  I have saved so much time in the creative process, having strips ready cut and ready to go.

The easy angle rulers work so perfectly with the system also and I love them!

I saved so much time cutting, that I had time to get bored with my white/black fabrics, so I decided to make some more!  Especially I wanted some with lighter overall value...

Enter art supplies!

I just took some bleached muslin and backed it with freezer paper to stabilize and got busy making some more textures and shapes...

After removing the freezer paper, I heat set all of these with the iron and voila!
More white/black variety!

And some Quiltville text fabric!  lol  The pieces are so small, you'll kind of have to hunt over the whole quilt at the end to get all the words in, but to me that's fun. lololol

Check out how other Quiltvillians are progressing on Bonnie's linky Monday!

And...
I hope you are having fun in your sewing room today too!

Much love,

Sarah

Love the idea of writing easy street on white fabric. I'm going to steal that idea :-)
