Hooray for O'Bay!

Sewed a bunch yesterday on Orca Bay.

Just to get together the various parts I had made so far...

The colors I chose were inspired by the drive I make several times a week, from Pacifica down to Half Moon Bay.  I am often in awe of the sheer number of greens that are to be seen and of course, the ocean, the sky and the incredible rock formations along Devil's Slide.

Plus, hey, look, strings!

This road will be closed to cars at some point this year, I think...A tunnel is being built through the mountain for the highway to bypass Devil's Slide and this will be the "old" part of Highway One to be made into a bicycle road/path!  I will miss the drive so much along here...I guess I better get a bike!

Cheers,
Sarah

Or motorcycle....wanna borrow mine?

Love the greens and browns, even before your pictures of your drive I thought "great outdoors feeling" from your colors. It's gonna be gorgeous, have you seen any others in these colors? I haven't!

Happy Sewing

These are some great colors. Like how you went with the lighter blue for your strings. Nice project. Sandi
