Sidetracked!

I was supposed to be working on any number of other projects.
Then...When was it?  Last week, Bonnie brought up the subject of those cheddar bow ties again with a link-up to see how everyone was coming along on it.
I had done maybe 2.

Thought I would just crank out a few, just to play with.
I made mine from 3" strips and using the 3D method for the centers.

I am a sucker for this kind of odd technique!

Then playtime!

Hmmm.  What's with the "stop sign".

Tried some more!

Wow.  That was fun.

Then I saw that I could just continue with the 3D thing throughout!   I like how it turned out!

Looks like weaving almost, in a way.

That was fun!
Will be thinking on a border for this one...

Now back to business!

Cheers,
Sarah

My goodness I had no idea the bow tie is such a versatile block! I do love those kind of side tracks.....much better than getting sick or having a family emergency :0).

Happy sewing......can you hear me now? :-)

Neat to see all the possibilities! I really like what you settled on. Very graphic.
